- The foundation of the program is a true-scale, full color digital map of the golf course created over an aerial photo.
- The aerial photo is digitally scanned to ultra-fine resolution in order to show features as small as 6-inch tee markers.
- The aerial photo is computer-calibrated to a GPS ground survey to remove distance and measurement distortions.
- Positional accuracy of the GroundLinkx maps is targeted to be less than twelve inches over the entire golf course.
